Συναντήσεις για το Πρόγραμμα ‘Το Λευκαρίτικο Κέντημα-Πηγή Έμπνευσης’ – ‘Lefkart’

Οι πρώτες συναντήσεις για το πρόγραμμα Το Λευκαρίτικο Κέντημα- Πηγή Έμπνευσης πραγματοποιήθηκαν τον Ιανουάριο σε συνεργασία με το Ίδρυμα Φοίβου Σταυρίδη-Αρχεία Λάρνακας. Όπως κάθε χρονιά, εκπαιδευτικοί της μέσης εκπαίδευσης είχαν την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσουν σεμινάρια για την τέχνη και ιστορία του Λευκαρίτικου Κεντήματος με σκοπό να εμπνευστούν και να μεταδώσουν τις γνώσεις τους στους μαθητές τους. Για πρώτη χρόνια φέτος, οι μαθητές κατενθουσιασμένοι, μπόρεσαν να παρακολουθήσουν τις διαλέξεις μαζί με τους καθηγητές τους και να εκλάβουν από πρώτο χέρι τις γνώσεις και την ιστορία της πολιτιστικής μας κληρονομιάς, συζητώντας και ρωτώντας ερωτήσεις. Τα σεμινάρια αυτά πραγματοποιήθηκαν στο Ίδρυμα Φοίβου Σταυρίδη-Αρχεία Λάρνακας και στο Youth Makerspace του Οργανισμού Νεολαίας Κύπρου. 

The ‘Lefkart’ project and its first workshops and seminars took place in January in collaboration with the Phivos Stavrides Foundation-Larnaca Archives. The project aims to promote the art of the traditional embroidery named Lefkaritiko by involving secondary education teachers and asking them to pass on their knowledge and history of our cultural heritage to their students. The teachers participate both in the seminars and the workshops before returning to their schools and working on the students’ own artworks. This year, for the first time, secondary education students participated in the seminars and were able to ask questions and discuss, with the lecturer, the history of the Lefkaritiko embroidery. The workshops took place at the Phivos Stavrides Foundation-Larnaca Archives as well as at the Youth Makerspace of the Youth Board of Cyprus.
